1. Who controls your information
Leadkita is operated by [REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME], at [COMPLETE PHILIPPINE ADDRESS]. For the information described in section 2, we are the personal information controller under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Questions about this policy go to privacy@leadkita.com.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only what we need to open your account, bill you, and answer you. Nothing is collected "just in case".
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| First and last name | To create your user on the platform and to address you |
| Email address | Your login, your receipts, and how we contact you |
| Mobile number | Required on the account, and required to charge a Maya payment |
| Business name | Becomes the name of your account on the platform |
| Business address, city, province, postal code | Required to create the account, and to match billing details for card payments |
| Website or Facebook Page | Optional. Helps us understand your business before we reply |
| Plan and payment method chosen | To set up the correct subscription and the correct amount |
| Billing records | Payment dates, amounts and status, kept for accounting and tax |
| Support messages | To answer you and keep a record of what was agreed |
The lawful basis for most of this is that it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, and to comply with our tax and accounting obligations. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, ever. We do not share it with advertisers and we do not use it to build profiles for anyone else.
3. Your customers' data is yours, not ours
When you use the platform, you will upload and collect information about your own contacts and customers. For that information:
- You are the controller. It is your data and your responsibility.
- We act only as a service provider giving you the tool it sits in.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold and contact those people, for your own privacy notice to them, and for honouring their requests.
- We do not use your contacts for our own purposes, we do not market to them, and we do not share them with anyone.
You must not upload purchased, scraped or rented contact lists. This is also a condition of our Terms and Conditions.
4. Payment information
We never see, handle or store your card number. Payments are processed by PayMongo, a payment processor regulated in the Philippines. Card and wallet details are entered on PayMongo's own systems and stored there.
What we receive back from PayMongo is limited to what we need to run your subscription: your name and email, whether a payment succeeded or failed, the amount and date, and the last four digits and brand of the card. PayMongo's own privacy policy governs what they do with your payment details.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run Leadkita, and only what each one needs:
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our platform provider | Your name, email, phone, business name and address | To create and run your account |
| PayMongo | Your name, email, phone and payment details | To collect your monthly subscription |
| Our email provider | Your name and email | To send receipts, notices and replies |
| Our website host | Technical logs, including IP address | To serve the site and keep it secure |
| Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Technical data from your visit only: IP address, browser type and the page you viewed. No name, email or phone from this website | To measure our ads and show them to people who visited |
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is ever transferred to another owner, your information may transfer with it, and we will tell you before that happens.
6. Where your data is stored
The platform, our email provider and our website host operate servers outside the Philippines, including in the United States. This means your information is transferred abroad. We only work with providers that apply recognised security standards and contractual protections for the data they hold on our behalf, as required by the Data Privacy Act.
7. How long we keep it
- While you are a customer: for as long as your account is active.
- After you cancel: your sub-account and its contents stay available for 30 days, then may be permanently deleted.
- Billing and tax records: kept for 10 years, as Philippine tax rules require.
- Enquiries that never became a customer: deleted within 12 months.
8. How we protect it
Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do their job. Connections to the site and the platform are encrypted in transit. Payment credentials never reach our systems. Administrative accounts use multi-factor authentication.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at serious risk, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your information is used, which is what this page is for
- Access a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date
- Object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we relied on it
- Erasure or blocking of your information in the circumstances the law allows
- Data portability, meaning a copy in a usable electronic format
- Damages, if you suffer loss from a violation of your rights
Email privacy@leadkita.com to exercise any of these. We will respond within 15 working days. We may need to verify your identity first. Some information we must keep regardless, such as billing records required for tax.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website uses the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. It records that a page on this site was viewed. It does not record anything you type, and we do not send Meta your name, email address or phone number from this website.
The pixel sets cookies in your browser that Meta can read on Facebook and Instagram. That is what lets us measure whether our ads bring people here, and show our ads again to people who have already visited. Meta receives your IP address, browser type and the page address, and processes it under its own privacy policy. This is a transfer of your information outside the Philippines.
How to stop it. Turn off off-Facebook activity in your Facebook settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a browser extension that blocks trackers. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Our host also records standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to serve pages and protect against abuse.
The platform you log into after subscribing sets its own cookies, which are necessary for it to work.
11. Children
Leadkita is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
